X-Corp makes their appearance at the Hellfire Gala, and they have several meetings on the books for the evening.

This book is just awesome. I can’t express how much I am into this corporate style book. Monet and Warren have such great chemistry together, and I really love the banter between them as well. All round so far the creative team has picked some great mutants for this book. I thoroughly enjoyed Trinary being the “guy in the chair” for Warren in this issue. I can see her being a huge asset and the lack of tact with Madrox was hilarious.

Neal Shaara makes a cameo in the book and all I can say is please Monet, hire Neal! He would be such a great addition to the book and someone who we haven’t seen in a long time. He really could use more time to shine.

There is another mutant who really shines in this book. I actually really like the idea of seeing them more and I think they could be an interesting addition to the board. The scenes with them were really well done and exciting. They also managed to really impress Warren, but will that be enough? Will Monet go with one of Warren’s choices?

The art in this issue is so good. I love the look and tone, and it fits really nicely with the heavy business feel of the book. It also has somewhat of a quirkiness to it as well that I really enjoy.

Overall X-Corp exceeds all expectations. It’s a fun change to the x-books and gives us a more business centered book. Though it still has the drama and fun we have come to expect as well from our x-books. I can’t recommend this book enough.
