Quentin dies again... and again and again, oh and again.
This book was such a fantastic read. I have been enjoying Kid Omega aka Quentin Quire a lot in this series. This issue we get to see a lot more of him while he investigates his many deaths and the many blank spots between backups.
I've always been a big fan of Quentin since his debut in Grant Morrison's run. Though after all these years the character hasn't done a lot of growth. That changes with this issue. We also finally get to see him update his look, which has been relatively the same since Morrison's run as well. That was probably one of my favorite parts of the book. He tries on several new outfits, poking fun at the Marvel Universe with some of them.
There is something creepy going on. A ship close to the island was attacked. Whoever attacked them made it look like the mutants did it. I'm really intrigued by this mystery assailant. We see at the end of this issue who is in charge but not who did the deed. I like that this book has taken on a sort of mystery type feel to it. That mixed with the fun and humor of Quentin dying constantly makes for an exciting read.
Overall this book was an exciting dive into the life of Kid Omega. I am really excited to see where this mystery goes. I would totally be interested in more spotlight issues if they are as fun as this one was.
