The death of Kate Pryde. All the mutants on Krakoa are reeling from their loss. This issue the mutants hold a memorial for their lost friend and Emma makes a discovery.

This issue was such an incredible read. It dives deep into the resurrection protocols and really adds a whole new dimension to it. I was worried that since the mutants have conquered death, that this story element would get pretty stale, especially now that such a prominent mutant has passed. We see in this issue how complex things really are.

I also loved how we got to see Emma Frost vulnerable, even if she tried to hide it from anyone seeing. Kate and Emma made their debut in the same issue and have had quite the journey together. If anyone would be distraught at Kate’s memorial, it would be Emma. She’s not as cold as she plays herself to be.

‘Marauders’ has really shown us that even the mutants have taken resurrection for granted. They aren’t indestructible like the resurrection protocols lead them to believe. Some of their choices are now coming back to haunt them. They seem so quick to trust, but as history has shown us they shouldn’t be so naive.

Overall this is an issue you won’t want to miss. Things are about to get really interesting and this issue is a must read!
