Futures End #11

by F.D. White on July 17, 2014

Written by: Brian Azzarello, Keith Giffen, Dan Jurgens, and Jeff Lemire
Art by: Georges Jeanty, Cam Smith, and Hi-Fi

And so Futures end continues to chug along. This week we get a mostly exposition filled issue to help fill us in on what has happened over the course of 5 years. Some of it works well, some parts don't, but overall the quality of the issue isn't hampered by it. Thanks to the solid art team comprised of Jeanty, Smith, and Hi-Fi. I'm trying not to be overly critical of the books I pick up because, no matter what, these writers and artists put a lot of hard work into the book. So here's what I enjoyed from the issue:

- The Grifter Side Story
- Frank and Amethyst being totally cute together.
- Mr. Terrific totally messing up Terry's plans of trying to be incognito. (Seriously, what's his endgame with this?)
- Stormguard! I don't know who he is at all. Never once heard of him, but I LOVE his character design.

So grab a drink, kick back, and enjoy the book. It might be a bit slower than the previous issues, but that only means that once the action hits it'll be that much better.
