Future State has been one of my favorite DC events in a hot minute. Yara Flor has a lot to do with it and I highly recommend picking up any title that features her!

Superman Wonder Woman #2 picks up with Yara saving Jon after his run in with Solaris. Supes and Wonder Woman have decided to go toe to toe with Solaris and Kuat in challenges of mythical proportions. Watters does an incredible job of characterizing Jon and Yara and presents them with subtle scenarios that demonstrate why they are the right choice as successors for these mantles. Though the narrative is familiar to team up books, Yara and Jon are so entertaining that you can’t help but enjoy every minute of this read.

Filardi steals the show this issue; the opening page is amazing. the red feels so heavy, especially in contrast to the white of the Fortress of Solitude and helps evoke a sense of what Jon’s feeling. Del Duca has some awesome designs with how she presents the Fortress, The Headless Mule, and along with Filardi makes a stunning black hole.

Future State Superman Wonder Woman has been such a treat, absolutely check it out and let us know down in the comments what Future State book has been your favorite!
