Happy Father's Day to all the dads out there and here's a little something from me to you. Enjoy!

#10) Richard Parker

As a young boy, Peter Parker’s father was always there for him…until he and is wife were killed, only for Peter to find out years later they were spies… ok not the best dad out there, so he gets the #10 spot.

#9) Professor Henry Jones

Indiana Jones’ estranged father reunites with his boy for the ultimate father & son adventure with Nazis, tanks & holy grails. The duo get out of more dangerous hijinks then your average father & son team, but in the end it strengthens their once fragile relationship. An adventurous archaeologist couldn’t ask for a better dad, even if he calls his son Junior.

#8) Darth Vader/Anakin Skywalker

Grant it, Lord Vader doesn’t win the father of the year award after all the pain & misery he inflicted on his family & the rebels, but at the end of Return of the Jedi, he found redemption and forgiveness from his son. A great father & son moment that gets me choked up every single time.

#7) Thomas Wayne

Before Bruce Wayne’s parents were murdered by a thug on the streets, Thomas Wayne was a successful doctor and a proud family man. His work kept him from spending some quality time with his family, especially young master Bruce. One night Thomas put aside his worries and took the family to see Bruce’s favourite movie, Zorro… and the rest is comic book history.

#6) John Custer

Before Jesse Custer was a bad-ass preacher and before his father was brutally murdered, Ex-marine John Custer, who was a great John Wayne fan, gave his little boy Jesse some just advice. “You have to be one of the good guys son, because there’s way to many bad guys”. Thanks pop.

#5) Jor-El

Superman was too young to remember the events that happened on the day Krypton came to an end. Jor-El placed baby Kal-El into the only escape pod they had and ejected him into the unknown galaxy, hoping he would eventually find his own way and live a long & fruitful life. Probably the single most toughest decision a father could do, but Metropolis is a safer & better city because of his actions.

#4) Charles Xavier

Another would be father figure to his young mutant students, which he referred as the Children of Tomorrow. Professor X taught his students to embrace their gifts and learn to control them in a world where humans hated & feared them. Way to go, Daddy-O!

#3) Trevor Bruttenholm

Like Ben Parker, he’s not an uncle or even a relative, but he’s the closest thing to a family member Hellboy ever got. After the Nazis failed demonic summoning, Professor Bruttenholm took in, the then infant Hellboy and raised him like a son and eventually became the greatest agent the B.P.R.D. had ever produced.

#2) Ben Parker

Technically not Peter’s father, but his uncle. Ben practically raised him as his own son, gave him a good life & taught him the greatest lesson of all “With great power, comes great responsibility”. That advice has shaped Peter into the greatest super hero the world has ever known. Thank you Ben.

#1) Rick Grimes (potential spoilers)

From the pages of The Walking Dead, ex-police officer, husband & father Rick Grimes has been through hell and back for his family. He’s lost a hand, zombies killed his friends, his wife and newborn child were gunned down in cold blooded murder by some vengeful power-tripping maniac & his son lost half his face to a random bullet. Although he’s still a little shaken by the whole experience, he’s never lost sight of his one true purpose in this insane zombie-infested world. Protect Carl at any cost. Now that’s a true father and why Rick gets the #1 spot for the Top 10 Best Comic Book & Pop Culture Dads.
