It is time to focus on Magneto in this instalment of ‘Giant-Sized X-Men’ and what an interesting issue this was. I found that this book really pushed the art to the forefront. At the beginning there was little dialogue but such expressive art that really drew you into the story. I loved Magneto’s interactions with Emma, and even more so with Namor.

The story in this book was a simple but that being said, there were many moments in this story that felt like setup for things to come. All of this worked really well and this book had me wanting a full series about Magneto. He has truly become such an intriguing character since ‘House of X/Powers of X’ launched. He is the Magneto we have always known, but there are so many more levels to his character now.

The other thing I enjoyed was more Namor. I really would love to see him come more into the fold and interact with Krakoa. I think if Namor was on the Quiet Council things would get really interesting.

Overall this was a fun simple story with some breathtaking art. It really sets up many stories to come and I highly recommend checking it out.
