The humans think they have the advantage, but as one knows, you never underestimate the mutants. This issue gets intense as the mutants pull together to stop the infiltration of Greenspace.

Ok so I was not very happy with the ending of the last issue. I had commented that the mutants are starting to feel like Aeon Flux. They just keep dying, and haven’t seemed as talented as we know them to be. Well that all changed with this issue. I was blown away by some of the sequences and how fun this book was. This is the X-Force we know and love, and wow this book doesn’t pull its punches, pun intended. We really get to see the ferocity of the mutants, with surprises from mutants like Gateway that were totally unexpected. Even Best seems a bit more aggressive in this book, than the scholar we know him to be. While this book is a fast read and mostly action, it ends with the mutants finding out some very important information. I’m looking forward to next issue when Kid Omega has been reborn, he’s going to be pissed!

The art in this book continues to be exceptional. It has this edgy tone to it, and the bit of bright color really suggests an element of optimism. There are some truly horrific moments in this book and this contrast in tone helps to really elevate the book to a whole new level.

Overall ‘X-Force’ continues to be one of the best books in the ‘Dawn of X’ line-up. It has managed to keep the intensity going with each issue, and also delivers some truly satisfying sequences. If you want to see a no holds bar X-Force team, then you need to pick up this issue.
