The team goes up against Apoth, but things don’t go according to plan.

This series was one of the most unique and intriguing of the ‘Dawn of X’ line-up. With this issue all that is about to come crumbling down. This issue drops the ball on all levels. The story feels very disconnected and rushed. Several of the characters especially Psylocke come across very robotic. In the previous issue the dialogue was very eloquent, but now it is reduced to one-liners and extremely robotic speech. There actually isn’t much to talk about in this issue because while it is packed with tons of action, it’s barely got any actual story.

The art is this issue also fails to live up to the standard set out by the first couple of issues. While the story in this issue feels rushed, so does the art. There is even a panel where Psylocke has this weird baby doll head. It’s very disappointing to see most of the panels are overly simplified backgrounds and the characters are drawn so poorly.

Overall this issue shows that the series is suffering from the intense release schedule. It’s rushed and poorly done. What was once one of the better series in ‘Dawn of X’ is now becoming one of the worst.
