As Matthew McConaughey would say: Alright, Alright, Alright. This comic has got it going on and it's firing on every single cylinder. There is an undeniable sense of urgency as we move closer to the release of the video game. You're getting a fleshed out backstory as to what's going on in Gotham before the Arkham Knight truly makes his presence known. At this point though, it seems like he's hiding in plain sight. It's a bit odd to me. Batman usually has everything in the city on lock, but it seems as though the Arkham Knight is evading detection. Like he's someone close...hmm....

Tomasi has some dialogue thorughout, his Bruce Wayne and Commissioner Gordon stuff is solid. I liked the interaction between Robin, Batman, and Alfred as well. Felt very family-like, which is of course what it's trying to convey. With that said, I'm still kind of wondering what's up with the Arkham Knight's dialogue because it's vague. Again, makes sense, but I guess I just want more. The stuff at the end with Harley's henchmen and Scarecrow was awesome. Can't wait for the game.

The art team has some great panels here and their interpretation of Bruce Wayne was pretty spot on. He looked and had the mannerisms that you'd expect from a billionaire playboy/entrepreneur. The simulation stuff with both Robin and Batman was great and the batcave had a lot of cool little secrets hidden inside the panels. There was the Scarecrow's "lair" that also looked menacing and not inviting at all. These guys did a great job all around and I know they're getting stuff fro the game...so it's exciting to get  sneak peak.

PICK THIS UP! Especially if you like Batman or the games. Classic stuff.
