Archie Christmas Spectacular #1 is a fantastic collection of Christmas stories featuring all of the great Riverdale citizens. This issue is really fun and very comfortable as a classic Archie fan. This book isn’t allowed to be bad with that all-star Archie Comics team of writers and artists. The artwork is consistently amazing classic Archie artwork, while the stories are fresh while still feeling like the Archie Comics we expect to read.

The first story shows best friends Archie and Jughead attempting to decorate their school gym for a Christmas party, which ends up only working out thanks to some Christmas magic. The second story shows a Jughead creating a Christmas miracle himself. While, the third and final story shows us what would happen if Archie and Jughead worked at Pop’s for the holidays, which I’m sure I don’t have to tell you, doesn’t unfold perfectly.

The great thing about all three of these stories is how much they all embrace the Christmas spirit. Each story has a lot of heart and shows the citizens of Riverdale coming closer together in different ways. Archie Comics are so beloved because of they are charming in that way. Adding the Christmas spirit takes that warm feeling while reading Archie to another level and it makes for a very enjoyable read. This book is a great comic to read to help get into the holiday spirit with all of your favorite Archie characters.
