There isn't much that can be said about Titans that hasn't been said many, many times before.  So, this is going to become the “What I Love About Titans This Month” corner.

Meta Solutions - color me shocked, it turns out the mysterious company may be a front for nefarious schemes.  I'm a sucker for a ‘villain allegedly becomes benevolent’ story, so I'm looking forward to seeing what Abnett does with Psimon, Mammoth and the rest of the Fearsome Five.  While on the subject of Mammoth, I'm loving what Abnett is doing with Herald/Mal Duncan and tackling the fallout from both his near death at Mammoth’s hands and his surrendering of his powers.  His development and the psychological ramifications will be interesting to follow. It seems the story of Meta Solutions will be a driving force behind this story arc, so I'm glad it interests me.

Bumblebee - my daughter is a huge fan thanks to the DC Superhero Girls show.   She gets a kick out of it whenever I show her a book I'm reading that features one of the characters.   Pre-Flashpoint she was a character I didn't know a lot about, so even old fans get to learn something in Rebirth.

Wally and Linda - one of the biggest questions about Wally West's re-emergence in Rebirth is the fate of his children.  While they're not fan favorites by any stretch of the imagination, they are important to the character nonetheless.  I'm happy with whatever they decide on doing, as long as it feels organic.  Abnett seems to be taking his time with this aspect of the story and I approve.  I appreciate the irony of having one of the fastest men alive forced to take things slow.  It never gets old.

Brett Booth is back - the Lee Weeks fill in was great, but it's nice to have Booth back in the driver's seat.  The style he brings pairs great with Abnett’s approach to writing - fun and light.  There is a different type of gravitas at play here that i enjoy.  We're dealing with a number of heavy issues in these pages,  but the team doesn't let things get overly morose or dour.  Things are still fun.   You can have the best of both worlds.  It's a comic book, after all.  Escapism fantasy at its finest.

So,  Titans remains in my top 3 Rebirth titles for another month.   Spoiler alert - I don't see it going anywhere anytime soon.
