Revival #3

by lucstclair on September 18, 2012

Bizarre events continue to occur, as the corpse of Arlene Dittman keeps getting up and walking around again and the mysterious ghost like alien makes yet another appearance.

The Team

Written by Tim Seeley (Hack/Slash, The Occultist, Loaded Bible Book 1), illustrated by Mike Norton (Young Justice Vol. 1, Battlepug, Queen & Country) & coloured by Mark Englert. Published monthly by Image Comics

The Pros

Things just get weirder and weirder for this noir series, as facts about the so called “revival” disease begin to materialize and new characters are introduced. A gap begins to grow between the two sisters, as Em keeps her condition as a reviver a secret from her father. Writer Tim Seeley’s page turner gives the reader just enough information to keep you interested and illustrator Mike Norton displays his creepiest Mrs. Dittman yet (give gramma a kiss baby).

The Cons

I’ve come along for the ride, but I hope to have some real answers eventually.

The Outcome

For some reason this series reminds me of X-Files, it gives you just a peek of the wizard behind the curtain and just when you think you’ll have some answers, it slams the door in your face with more questions.
