When the odds are stacks against you what do you do? Do you retreat? Do you keep fighting? Or do you take what tragedy has turned you into and overcome human boundaries to become something more than man, something of legend that strikes fear into everybody when those terrifying words are uttered, those words are The Punisher.

Punisher #5 the city is in a black out cause by the super villain Electro who is helping a Mexico based cartel to gain power in L.A. The Punisher has been on there tail trying to end the cartel once and for all but is brought to a halt when he is brought to the final battle with Electro.

The Great

This is issue is jam pack with action from cover to cover I was on the edge waiting to see what was going happen to good old Frank Castle(The Punisher), they have set up a captivating world for frank one that is believable and  makes you care for the people who inhabit it. L.A Is a great place for this series because not lot happens outside of new York in the Marvel U so it a great show case of what goes on the other side of the country, also with a place with les heroes it makes sense for The Punisher to be there because he takes on what is too big for the cops and what’s to small for the super heroes, A place like L.A is a real place that he could make a difference to change the lives off the people who live there for the better. The writing in this book stupendous by having a balance of dialog letting you see thing happen not just telling you and narration helping you get inside the punishers head which was m favorite part because it showed that Frank isn’t crazy or deranged he is just a person who is doing what he believes no one else would or could do and he does this so that not only people are safe but the tragedy that happened to him will never happen to anyone one again. There have been many interpretations of the punisher whether it is a crazy person, a brooding soldier, etc; I feel that this one is the most believable of any of those it doesn’t make him over the top or a brooding loner. He is just a man that will do anything to protect people from danger and he will so it as he sees fit. The art is astonishing I have never seen this artist before but art team just really kicks ass. I would be really hurt if the art was to change because I thank that is was makes the story so great the pacing, the action, and the heartfelt moments and this is creative team is just a match made in heaven.

Overall
Punisher is becoming a great series with issue five a great addition to the arc. The creative team has developed a tremendous story that I’m sure will have a satisfying conclusion. I this book has a lot a of heart, action, and moments where frank is just a bad ass. I love them all and I hope it comtinues to be a great series moving forward.
