Where are we in this story . . . Frank and Joe Hardy’s father was murdered. And there was a suspect. Or, more precisely, two. Frank and Joe. Along with their childhood friend, Nancy Drew, they were determined to prove their innocence. When Sam Rover was murdered in the same fashion as the elder Hardy, they had their chance to catch the real killer and clear the Hardy Boys’ names. And when the time came, they killer showed his face . . . as Mr. Drew, Nancy’s father!

When Del Col dropped that bombshell on us at the end of the previous issue, the hype and excitement for this finale was palpable. And I hate to say it. I really do because I wanted to be blown away by this issue, but, the ending was nowhere near as exciting as the cliffhangers were. And I’m going to have to go back through the old issues to see if there are any clues that led up to the big reveal because if there were, I missed them. And I hate that. I don’t like when mysteries are so obvious I figure out the big secret early on, but I love that “ah ha” moment that comes when you put everything together, and that didn’t happen for me, and that takes the satisfaction away.

As with the rest of the series, the artwork was flawless. The color palette used is incredibly unique, effective, and amazing. Plus, the best part, on the last page, it said “The end . . . for now.” Can’t wait to see what’s next.
