This issue was pretty much a re-cap for those that haven’t played the second game and basically chronicles Kara’s journey to Earth and Krypton’s destruction. Since I played the game I already knew the majority of what happened in this issue, but I do understand that it is a necessary issue for those that didn’t play.

First part shows life of Krypton and the relationship between Zor-El and Jor-El. As expected they do have a really friendly and brotherly relationship, as Jor-El tries to embarrass his brother, and his brother retaliates by saying no Jor-El just wanted to be mean to him. That friendly relationship then even expands to Kara, as they both look after her so she can fly on top of that creature.

We then see Kara’s relationship with her mother, which is really caring. As Kara got injured on the creature, her mother comforts her and tells her that she will be okay if she goes to sleep. This was really cool, as it matches up with the ending when Kara is sent off the planet and is put into forced sleep as her ship diverts from Kal-El’s ship.

This was another good issue and was the real first step to mirror the game a bit more. It also goes away from the whole Ra’s Al Gul plot and throws a spanner in the works as Black Adam finds her ship. Hopefully we will see that storyline progress a bit more.
